5 Things to Do When Moving Into Your Kenai or Soldotna Home

So you have signed your paperwork and picked up the keys to your new Kenai or Soldotna home!!! As you’re unpacking the boxes you might want to think about changing some very critical things. Here are 5 things to take care of!

Change The Locks: You should never assume that the keys that you hold in your hands are the only ones out there for your home. Just to be safe, get the locks changed as soon as possible!

Reprogram Garage Door Opener: Again, it’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your new home. Most garage door openers have a re-set button, but if yours doesn’t find out the make and model of it and call the company for help.

Replace Furnace Filter: Most of the time you are recommended to check and change your furnace filter once a month during the heating season, but it should also be done as soon as you move into your new home.

Install New Batteries In Smoke Alarm and Carbon Dioxide Detector: You really have no idea when the batteries were last changed in either of these detectors. It’s definitely well worth the time and a few dollars!

Replace Toilet Seat Covers: We don’t really need to go into a whole lot of detail with this one, but most people would recommend changing the toilet seat!!
