This coming May 2014 the Kenai Wildlife Refuge will be holding a Youth Game Warden Camp. If you have a 4th or a 5th grader, you will want to bring them for a fun experience with the outdoors! There will be many activities for your child and the things they will learn while they are having fun! Your child will have a chance to be a detective in the Wildlife Forensics Crime scene activitiy! They will receive a wildlife & duck ID, get to meet a Canine Officer, and learn about water and boating safety. This great hands on camp gets children familiar with using maps/GPS and a compass. They will also have a chance to practice their bow and arrow skills during some archery practice! This camp is filled with fun activities your child will enjoy. They will love being out in the wilderness, learning, exploring, making friends and memories!
Hurry up and sign up! Space is limited! There is a $20.00 supply fee which includes a t-shirt and Saturday lunch. Contact Refuge Officer Kelly Modla at 907-260-2851 for more information or to register.
